In our pod inquiry, we asked the question:
How will the use of individual screens in the classroom affect children’s health?
This question is in regard to the physical, visual, mental and social health of the students. We broke up each section and designated each topic to a group member:
Physical health – Anna
Visual health – Sofie
Mental health – Stephanie
Social health – Brynn
We found that children’s health is less likely to affect aspects like physical health directly from classroom screen time use but can affect social health a lot more substantially. It was interesting to find the pros and cons of each while also finding mitigating strategies to prevent students from having bad, unhealthy relations with classroom screen time use.
