If you had told me even just one month ago that I would be writing a blog of my own, I would have laughed. Hard. Not only do I struggle and have anxieties over reading and writing but I also get overwhelmed easily with technology. My stresses around technology come from many different areas: social demands, what seems like non-sensible navigation, over-stimulation and simply missing something important. My brain can get scattered and it feels as if I have to search every nook of a website just in case I missed something important, or I just can’t find what I’m looking for (even if I found previously). My solution: going “old school” and writing it down, not on a screen but on paper.

My first impression of the course was oddly calming and not at all overwhelming. Although I had and still have a lot of reservations over projects, the multiple platforms and writing a blog, I felt very supported. I enjoyed how the material from the first lecture was not just the course outline but also included activities that can be used in the classroom. I look forward to learning about the roles that technology can play in the classroom. In the past, I have worked with individuals who relied on new forms of technology in order to not only learn but communicate. Having opportunities accessible is something that I look forward to learning about.
